It's so nice to be free! Alex, Natalie and I stayed up late talking last night. He told us that he's spent the whole summer trying to convince Lauren to sing with him. He said that he was at the Anderson's one afternoon during the summer and Lauren was in the kitchen singing and he was shocked at how good she is. He asked her why she wasn't up on stage performing but she shied away from the idea. He told us he was really excited that she was finally going to sing. He was kind of talking about her A LOT. Finally Natalie (never one to hold anything back) blurted out, "Why don't you ask the girl out and get it over with already?" Alex looked embarrassed and said that she's too young for him. I reminded him again that they are closer in age than Josh and I are. He just insisted that it was a bad idea. Oddly enough, this morning he showed me the set list for the doo-wop show next week, and a song called "Young Girl" - lead vocals by Alex - was added to the line up...kind of makes you wonder.

Alex and I went shopping earlier today for more Christmas presents. I'm stressing because I haven't found the perfect present for Josh yet. Everyone else I've got covered so I'm getting nervous. I want to get him something special.

Tonight it's a doo-wop rehearsal. I'm only going for the first hour because there's a holiday dance party at the studio tonight and I promised Mona I'd work. She likes us to be there to dance with the guests and show them steps if they don't know the dance that's playing. It should be fun.
